From the Top: Deployed Edition-Chief Master Sgt. McQuaid

Maj. Jason Crabb, 176th Expeditionary Aircraft Maintenance Unit commander, and Chief Master Sgt. Jaquelyn McQuaid enjoy some treats from home while deployed.

안녕하세요, annyeonghaseyo, Hello!

Our Airmen made this mission a seamless transition and fully integrated with their Active Duty counterparts.  Besides fulfilling our normal mission we also participated in two operational readiness exercises here.  Although the majority of our Airmen were only on ground for 11 working days before we participated in the first exercise, they truly rocked it and highlighted what Wisconsin stands for. Our mission here has been a success thus far on every level of mission capability and readiness!

In addition to working their scheduled shifts, our Airmen actively engaged in other events across the base.  This included fitness activities and the “176th I Ran with the Wolves Fitness Challenge.”  To complete the challenge Airmen signed up to complete a total of 115 or 176 miles while at Kunsan.  Some Airmen also took the opportunity to expand their knowledge by studying for CDC’s (Career Development Course), PME (Professional Military Education) or taking online college classes.  On top of all of those activities many of our Airmen participated in local Morale, Welfare and Recreation events to see and learn more about the South Korean culture.

As always our Airmen are leaving the Wisconsin footprint of strong work ethic and community ties deeply ingrained in South Korea.

Airmen from Wisconsin ANG’s 115th Fighter Wing are deployed to Kunsan for a 4-month rotation as part of a Theater Security Package, which helps to maintain a deterrent against threats to regional security and stability.
